We get to work with a bunch of really great rod builders from all over the world and Sandy Nelson in Aberdeen, Scotland is certainly one of them.
Sandy has put together this sharp Epic build to help raise funds for the Wild Trout Trust in the UK, thanks for thinking of us and going for an Epic blank Sandy. The package is being topped off with a line from Mike Barrio at Barrio Fly Lines - cheers Mike!
I have built an Epic 480 in Nude for the upcoming Wild Trout Trust
auction here in the UK. The auction runs with an online catalogue and
on Ebay in early March (3-12).
The rod has a jade insert, a custom flor handle and is
whipped in silk with fine wire rings, its being auctioned with a Swift
Bag and Tube.
We'll keep you posted on our Facebook page with a link to the Auction when it goes live.

The use of Graphene nano resin affords clear performance advantages. 5% Lighter, tougher and more responsive.
Our SnakeBelly™ Satin finish is scratch and chip resistant making for an extremely tough and durable fly rod that is less prone to stress fractures caused by collisions with weighted flies.
Giving the Epic 590 a workout on Zorro Spring Creek in the Chilean Andes last January. I was consistently amazed at the way that rod performed in a variety of circumstances. I mentioned utility in my Instagram post and I meant it. The 590 Fly Rod basically ticks all the boxes for me as a trout rod. You guys ruined me.
